GREATFENCE “operator-friendly” Gates
Add the Operator Rail to any Commercial or Industrial Gate for an operator-friendly gate!
We do not sell gate automation products; however, our commercial and industrial gates are “automation friendly” when you ADD the additional Operator Rail to your gate.
Simply find the commercial or industrial gate you like, then customize it with this extra, horizontal rail. You must use either commercial or industrial grade, even if it’s for your home.
Find a local outlet of a national brand because you’re probably going to need a service agreement; motorized arms and electrical connections may require on-going maintenance. We recommend national gate automation brands like MightyMule, LiftMaster, Viking and Apollo. However, other brands will work, too.
Add the Operator Rail to any Commercial or Industrial Gate and you’re all set!
NOTE: When Ordering Double Gates / Driveway Gates and/or Estate Gates, remember these gates ship in 2 halves. For example: If you order one – 6 foot wide Double Gate / Driveway Gate or Estate Gate, you will receive two – 3 foot wide pieces (minus deductions for hing/lock spacing). If you order one – 10 foot wide Double Gate / Driveway Gate or Estate Gate Gate, you will receive two – 5 foot wide pieces (minus deductions for hinge/lock spacing). If you order one 14 foot wide Double Gate / Driveway Gate or Estate Gate, you will receive two – 7 foot wide pieces (minus deductions for hinge/lock spacing). And finally, if you order one – 20 foot wide Double Gate / Driveway Gate or Estate Gate, you will receive two – 10 foot wide pieces (minus deductions for hinges and gate lock).
Gate Operators must be attached to the U-Frame of the Gate or an optional Mid-Rail. We take no responsibility if you attach the gate arm only to the vertical pickets.
You have the option of connecting your opener equipment to the U-FRAME, which is included on wider gates, instead of the MID RAIL. However, we do not recommend this configuration for snowy regions. For colder climates with a lot of snow, it’s best to order the optional MID RAIL which is much higher off the ground.
