You are responsible at the time of delivery for notating any visible damage on the delivery receipt. And if you find damage you must obtain an exception number from this carrier within 5 calendar days of the delivery date. GreatFence cannot file a claim or replace damaged products unless you have notated visible damage on the delivery receipt. Furthermore, It is your responsibility to be 0n-site on the day of delivery. You are responsible for your shipment. Do not allow any 3rd party to accept delivery of your order. Greatfence.com, Inc. is not responsible for missing items in your order if you are not present on the day of delivery. Do not discard any of the boxes or packaging in your shipment until you’ve completed a full and detailed inventory of your order. If there is shipping damage, we may have to have the products shipped back to the factory. You are required re-use the original shipment packaging for this purpose.
We ship to homeowners and businesses all over the continental United States. All orders are boxed, shrink-wrapped and palletized. Commercial customers with fork lift access can easily take the pallets of the truck. Residential deliveries and locations with no fork lift access can simply tear open the shrink wrap and pull the boxes off the truck. This is not uncommon. Some truck drivers will help unload your products; however, they are not required to do so. This is standard in the fencing industry. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you have one or more additional adults (depending on the size of your order) with you on the day of delivery. Furthermore, customer must notate any visible damage to your freight shipment (tears in the boxes…etc.), on the delivery, receipt at the time of delivery. If damage is found after unpacking, you must obtain an Exception Number from the freight carrier within 3 days of delivery. Contact our Support Team with this information asap because all the national shipping carriers require notice soon after delivery and they allow no exceptions.
Any change to your shipping address after your order ships will incur a reconsignment fee of $250.00.
NOTE: When Ordering Double Gates / Driveway Gates and/or Estate Gates, remember these gates ship in 2 halves. For example: If you order one – 6 foot wide Double Gate / Driveway Gate or Estate Gate, you will receive two – 3 foot wide pieces (minus deductions for hing/lock spacing). If you order one – 10 foot wide Double Gate / Driveway Gate or Estate Gate Gate, you will receive two – 5 foot wide pieces (minus deductions for hinge/lock spacing). If you order one 14 foot wide Double Gate / Driveway Gate or Estate Gate, you will receive two – 7 foot wide pieces (minus deductions for hinge/lock spacing). And finally, if you order one – 20 foot wide Double Gate / Driveway Gate or Estate Gate, you will receive two – 10 foot wide pieces (minus deductions for hinges and gate lock).
