Shipping Policy
⚠️ Ships to your home / business anywhere in the USA!
Note: We do not profit from shipping. Your rate reflects real, negotiated UPS and LTL carrier costs — no markups, no handling fees.
LTL Freight fees include both residential delivery and liftgate service by default. This covers the majority of our shipments.
If shipping to a valid commercial address (with forklift or loading dock access), we’re happy to refund $135.00 — however, please note that no liftgate will be provided.
Current lead time on fence panels, posts, and gates is 5–6 weeks + shipping time. Shipping time varies.
💡 Bonus: There is no sales tax on any order — except those shipping to Texas.
We partner with top-rated national freight carriers for LTL delivery.

Current lead time on all fence panel, post and gate orders = est. 6 weeks + shipping time. Shipping time varies. Small, accessory-only orders ship faster. Small orders of three fence panels or less (no gates) ship unassembled via UPS for lower shipping fees. Assembling a couple a fence panel is easy. You get better overall shipping value when ordering medium to large quantities. Smaller orders of oversized products often incur higher per-unit shipping costs due to carrier minimums and dimensional weight.
How We Package Your Order
We protect your investment with packaging tailored to the size and weight of your order. Below, you’ll see the difference between our standard packaging for fence panels, posts, and smaller gates, versus our heavy-duty wood crating used for large Commercial and Industrial gates.

💪 Are You a Homeowner Worried About Unloading?
Don't be. We ship residential orders every day — and most customers unload easily without any special equipment. Want to know exactly how much your panels, gates, and posts will weigh?
Some remote areas in the USA may require secondary delivery services with limited delivery days. Plan accordingly. For example: Ruidoso, New Mexico or West Leyden, New York. All orders are boxed, shrink-wrapped and palletized. Commercial customers with fork lift access can easily take the pallets of the truck. Residential deliveries and locations with no fork lift access can simply tear open the shrink wrap and easily pull the boxes off the truck. Our aluminum products are extremely strong and durable but much lighter in weight than wrought-iron. Some truck drivers will help unload your products; however, if the driver helps, they may charge a fee which is customer’s responsibility. This is standard in the fencing industry. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you have at least 2 capable adults on-site on the day of delivery. Any change to your shipping address made after your order ships will incur a reconsignment fee charged by the carrier. If you’re not installing our products yourself (and you should because you can save a ton of money), do not schedule any 3rd party handyman / installer until after you have received and inspected your shipment. Open and inspect all boxes in your delivery no later than 5 days after delivery.

Thoroughly inspect all packages for any visible damage before signing! Please verify that all materials coincide with the packing slip. If you sign for the package(s), you are responsible for any missing components. In case of damage, please save all packaging and indicate on the Bill of Lading.
Although we make every effort to ensure that your shipment arrives safely, sometimes damage or loss does occur. If the following procedures are observed, the problem will be resolved in the most efficient way possible.
All orders must be carefully inspected by the customer upon delivery. Please be sure the number of boxes delivered matches the number of boxes indicated in the Bill of Lading. It is also critically important to examine the shipment for any possible damage. If any boxes are missing or if any boxes appear to be damaged, please indicate this on the driver’s and customer’s shipping documents.
If possible, taking photographs is always helpful. If damage is not indicated, we have no recourse in filing a claim against the carrier and we will not be responsible for the loss. Note that the carrier may not allow enough time for close inspection of the shipment. If hidden damage is discovered after-the-fact, you must report it to the GreatFence.com Support Team within 5 days of delivery. Immediately contact greatfence.com Support by email at: [email protected] so we may assist in the resolution of any shipping issues. In order to make a claim for damages, you must notify the carrier immediately. A representative of the carrier company will inspect the shipment, packaging material, and the containers. Upon completion of the inspection, the manufacturer will file a claim.
Any claims against the carrier for damages or shortages that are denied by the carrier are the sole responsibility of the customer. If a claim is denied, we are not responsible for freight charges, replacement materials, filing of claims or collecting of claims. Damaged goods cannot be shipped back to the manufacturer without prior, written approval.
