Is there a problem installing your aluminum posts with poured concrete? If no, why not? If yes, what protection is recommended?

Is It Safe to Install Aluminum Fence Posts in Concrete?

Yes — it’s perfectly safe to install aluminum fence posts in concrete. In fact, the vast majority of our customers do exactly that.

At GreatFence.com, we ship hundreds of custom aluminum systems every month, and about 90% of those installations use poured concrete. Out of all those jobs, we receive maybe 1–2 calls per year regarding paint peeling or corrosion near the concrete line.

Why? It’s usually due to unusual concrete mixes or extreme environments — not a fault with the post itself. That’s why we don’t recommend any special coating or barrier for most residential or commercial installs.
