The additional U-Frame is required and automatically added on gate widths 14 feet wide and wider for additional strength and support. HEAVY DUTY gate hinges (not spring loaded) allow 2-way gate swinging and are required for gate automation. Also, requires 4″ x 4″ gate posts. Scroll down this page to download installation-pdf. You can also column mount your gate with Heavy Duty Gate Hinges (anchors not included).
