Most jurisdictions in the USA require your posts to be cemented 2 feet into the ground. 3 feet for jurisdictions with frost lines. Always check your local building codes.
Order post(s) three inches longer than the height of your gate (required). Leaves approx. two inches of space between the gate and the ground). Anchors to be purchased locally based upon the material you’re mounting to. For slight terrain variations, shim the post. For steeper slopes, purchase post with no plate and core drill.

You need 2 gate posts for each gate: 2 BLANKS, 2 ENDS OR 1 OF EACH. BLANK Gate Posts are square, aluminum, powder coated posts with no holes routed in them. An END Gate Post is routed on one side and connects to one fence panel in line with the gate or at 90 degrees. i.e. a Gate Post – END can “act” as a corner post if your gate is positioned at a corner of your barrier.
