Most jurisdictions in the USA require your posts to be cemented 2 feet into the ground. Some jurisdictions with frost lines require 3 feet. Always check your local building codes.

All Posts with welded plate (except posts for heavy racked and stair-stepped fence panels) must be ordered 3 inches longer than the height of your fence panel/gate. This leaves approx. two inches of space between the fence panel / gate and the ground). Anchors to be purchased locally based upon the material you’re mounting to. Note: Check local building codes for post depth requirements. All posts to be cemented into the ground can be trimmed on-site from the bottom up, if necessary. Blank Posts with optional welded plate can be trimmed on-site from the top of the post, down. The post cap can then be easily snapped-on over the “cut.” Adjustable Horizontal Swivel Mounts (sold separately) are required to connect commercial aluminum fence panels at a hard angle.
