Most jurisdictions in the USA require your posts to be cemented 2 feet into the ground. Some jurisdictions with frost lines require posts to be cemented 3 feet into the ground. Always check your local building codes.
All Posts with welded plate (except posts for heavy racked and stair-stepped fence panels) must be ordered 3 inches longer than the height of your fence panel/gate.
