Most jurisdictions in the USA require your posts to be cemented 2 feet into the ground. Some jurisdictions with frost lines require 3 feet. Always check your local building codes.

Order 3 inches longer than the height of your fence. This leaves approx. two inches of space between the fence and the ground. Anchors to be purchased locally based upon the material you’re mounting to. For slight terrain variations, shim the post/plate. For medium/steep slopes, purchase with no plate and core drill.
