Barriers up to 6 foot high should use posts cemented (at minimum) 2 feet into the ground. 7′ and 8′ high barriers — 3 feet into the ground. Always check your local building codes.

Order post(s) longer than the height of your fence depending on the degree of your slope. After installation, trim this post from the top, down. Then, gently install post cap on top of the cut. Anchors to be purchased locally based upon the material you’re mounting to. For slight terrain variations, shim the post/plate. For medium/steep slopes, purchase with no plate and core drill. Posts with welded plates are not available for fence panels or gates above 7 feet high. View Plate Specifications

NOTE: Depending on the degree of racking, we recommend ordering posts longer than usual to ensure you have enough post height for heavy rackable panel connections. Once installed, you can trim from the top down and snap on the post cap. This process applies only to Blank Posts.

FENCE HEIGHT	Cemented in Ground Minimum recommendation. Go longer if your jurisdiction has a frost line. Always check local codes.	Post with Welded Plate 7' and7 8' high heavy rackable panels can’t be used with welded plates. Core drill instead.
