Stair-stepping fence panels requires longer posts because you’re connecting 2 panels two different heights. Rail End mounts sold separately. Blank Posts can be trimmed at the bottom (for in-ground applications) and at the top (for surface mount applications. i.e. posts with the welded plate added). Fence Panels up to 6 foot high should use posts cemented, at minimum, 2 feet into the ground. Fence barriers 7 foot high and higher should use posts cemented 3 feet into the ground. Always check your local building codes. Post lengths can be easily trimmed on-site using any metal blade saw.

Order post(s) longer than the height of your fence (depending on the size of your step. After installation, trim from the top, then, gently install post cap on top of the cut. Anchors to be purchased locally based upon the material you’re mounting to. For slight terrain variations, shim the post/plate. For medium/steep slopes, purchase with no plate and core drill. NOTE: Depending on the height of your fence panel steps, we recommend ordering posts longer than usual to allow enough room on your post(s) to connect two fence panels stair-stepped. Blank Posts cemented into the ground can be trimmed at the top or bottom, if necessary. Blank posts with the welded plate can be easily trimmed on-site from the top with the post cap covering the "cut". Rail End Mounts (sold separately) are required when stair stepping aluminum fence panels
